"Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace."

  • January 16, 2012 - Hi Gabriela,

    Hi Gabriela,

My dad called me about an hour ago. He was in great spirits and didn't complain about anything!! He seemed very happy that you spent time with him today. He wanted to tell me that.

I remember the first day my dad moved in and I started to cry. You at first thought I was crying because I was worried about my dad. I explained to you that they were tears of joy, because I knew even then, that dad would be in great hands with you, Dan, and your caregivers. I knew then, and continue to believe now, that he is in the best place possible. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

My dad must be so happy to see all the fruit. He must realize by now that you mean what you say.

    Thanks again, Gabriela, for EVERYTHING!

    Take care,
    Shelly

    Dear Gabriela,

I wanted to thank you and your husband so much for being so helpful and caring for my Dad and for your efforts in assisting Shelly so well with the difficult transition. Thank you again for all you have done.

    Sincerely,

  • July 12, 2011 - Some people go to work every day.....

Some people go to work every day and do a wonderful job, and then there are those that do even more; they go above and beyond, making a difference every single day. These very unique people that make it that way are the aides at Phoenix Senior Living, who’s warmth and dedication is never-ending and who make sure my Grandmother is taken care of and comfortable at all times.  Kedisha and Thea have made such a difference in my life and my families life, as well as my grandmother’s by taking such good care her and giving us the peace of mind and reassurance that all of my grandmother’s needs are attended to.

The house is immaculate and Gabrielle and Dan are so accommodating and supportive in keeping my family and I apprised of all aspects of the home and keeping us updated on Elderly Care Laws, including Medicare grant paperwork, Medications and Hospice.  The recent renovations of the house have also made it more comfortable and simpler for the residents to get around and bathe with assistance.  Gabrielle and Dan’s children also come over to assist the residents in a weekly game of Bingo, which is such a pleasure to the residents and us, the families.

I am so delighted to have found the perfect place for my 97 year old grandmother to live.   She is part of a family there and Kedisha and Thea  are doing an exceptional job, as their sincerity and patience towards the well-being of my grandmother and all of the residents and the families is always expressed.

    Thank you so much!

  • May 5, 2011 - Dear Kedisha and Judith, .....

    Dear Kedisha and Judith,

Words cannot express the heartfelt gratitude I feel. Even though my Mom was only with you a few short weeks, I know she was always in good hands and feeling loved under your care.

Our family took a deep breath the day we moved her to Parkland. We knew she was as close to being home as we could wish for. We knew we would no longer live in fear of the phone ringing from the other facility to hear my Mom's voice begging us to get her out. We knew we would no longer have to endure confronting the staff at the other facility to do their job and treat Mom with respect. We felt so relieved to at last have my Mom living in peace and comfort.

All those feelings were the first day she was there. As time went on it only got better, we saw my Mom smile more than she had in months. We are so grateful to you.

My Mom loved you; that was very clear each time you walked by her or called her "Gracie", we saw her face light up with the biggest smile.

The special care you gave my Mom on the day of her passing will never be forgotten. You are God's angels and you will always have a special place in my heart.

My Mom's final burial will be at the VA cemetery on 441 in Lake Worth. It looks like it will be on the morning of May 12th, but I will call you with the details when they are confirmed. It will be immediate family and it would be an honor to have you witness her military burial with us, you were her family too.

    All my love,

  • May 3, 2011 - I can not say enough.....

I can not say enough good about the Phoenix Senior Living homes, Gabriella and her staff.

I moved my Mom to the home in Parkland after months of her not being taken care of properly in a large assistant living facility in Deerfield Beach.  My Mom does not adjust to change very well but after just a few short days at Parkland, she was right at home.  Our family was so relieved because we felt so comfortable leaving Mom there.

The full time aids are so special, they are angels and they take care of the residents like they were family.  There are only 5-6 residents at each home so the full time aids have time to bath the residents daily, do their laundry, give medication, tuck them in bed, do their hair, make up, nails, play bingo, games, attend to personal needs, cook 3 meals a day,  the list goes on and there are no surpirse fees, all inclusive.  Family may come and go as they want, they are always welcome.

I wish I would have known about Gabriella and her homes 6 months ago.

My Mom, who was terminal with cancer, passed away April 16, 2011 under the care of Hospice, Gabriella and her aids , in her room, in Parkland Sr Living.  She was never left alone when family wasn't there.

Kedisha (one of my Mom's favorite aids) called me the day she thought my Mom would pass and she was right.  Kedisha took special loving care of my Mom that day as she always did, even put some makeup on Mom for Mom's ride to the funeral home, that touched our hearts so much.

All I can say is this is not a facility, this is a home with all the love that goes with being at home, along with all the qualifications needed.

Thank you so much to all at Phoenix Sr Living.  Anyone wanting to call me about these wonderful people and what they offer, please feel free. 561-496-0337

  • September 8, 2010 - Dear Gabriela and the Staff at Phoenix, .....

Dear Gabriela and the Staff at Phoenix,

I deeply appreciate your kind thoughts and expressions of sympathy which you extended upon the passing of my mother. What you did for her and for my family with care and comfort can never be replaced or acknowledged in any meaningful way.

Suffice is to say that I am truly appreciative. Mom was a special lady, a truly warm and loving individual. I know that she was touched by your kindness, warmth and caring and that she will live on forever in the hearts of those with whom she came in contact.

  • August 9, 2010 - Dear Gabriella, Daniel, Nadine and Judith,.....

Dear Gabriella, Daniel, Nadine and Judith,

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to have found you all.  Mom has been in several facilities, prior to entering Phoenix Senior Living.  The big difference that I see is that she is in a "home" not in an institution.  You can't even begin to compare  the level of care that she receives from you versus  what she received in the past.

The level of care that mom receives from all of you is absolutely incredible.  The kind, loving care and patience shown to each residence is way above and beyond.  I am so happy to have found you all as our new extended family.

Thank you so much for everything you do.

  • August 2005 - Dear Gabriela, .....

    Dear Gabriela,

Thank you again for all your care and attention to Mom during her last days at Phoenix Senior Living. I believe it was the best choice for her and we were very impressed and happy with the care she received. I know she was not the easiest of patients to care for and we appreciated all you and Nerene and Adalaide did for her. I called Judy, the girl who referred us to you, and told her how we felt.

Our best to you, Daniel and your children.

    Sincerely,

    Ellen
